Scarlet Hope exists to share the hope and love of Jesus with women in the adult entertainment industry.

VISION

Our vision is to see women in the adult entertainment industry engaged with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching them they are loved by the Creator of the universe and were made in His image while equipping and empowering them to change their lives through gospel-centered community and resources.

HISTORY

Scarlet Hope began in 2007 when our Founder, Rachelle Starr, was called to bring the hope and love of Jesus to women in the adult entertainment industry of Louisville, KY by serving a home-cooked meal in a strip club and forming relationships with the women working there. This was the beginning of what would become a national ministry that serves hundreds of women across the U.S. every year.

Our Founder, Rachelle Starr, was born in Denver, CO, so the city has always held a special place in her heart. After visiting the city in 2018, she knew that God was calling Scarlet Hope to Denver; the question was when? In 2021, several people contacted us about Denver out of the blue and it was clear to us that God has been preparing hearts and calling people to our mission. The time had come. So in January 2022, we held our first volunteer orientation in Denver and began our launch! God quickly answered our prayers and provided a City Coordinator, Cassidy Reese, to coordinate and lead all ministry efforts locally. We are so excited to join the community of believers in Denver to bring the hope and love of Jesus to women in the adult entertainment industry!

ABOUT THE
CITY COORDINATOR

Cassidy first heard about Scarlet Hope years ago through her mom who served on the cooking team in Louisville, KY. There was an instant interest and tug towards this ministry. When she moved to Nashville, she learned that Scarlet Hope was beginning to do work there. She began serving on the outreach team in 2019 and continued to grow more and more passionate about the women in this industry coming to know Jesus. Fast forward to the summer of 2021, Cassidy moved to Denver, CO, and immediately wondered about what it would look like to have Scarlet Hope in Denver. As God would have it, Scarlet Hope was already planning to launch in Denver and they needed a City Coordinator. Cassidy accepted the role of City Coordinator in January 2022. She is expectant for what the Lord plans to do through this ministry and desires ultimately that the women in the adult entertainment industry would come to know the hope and love of Jesus, their Savior. Cassidy is married to her husband, Steven, and is expecting her first baby boy in June. When they have free time, they love to explore new restaurants, hang out with their friends, and travel.
